Marvellous on BBC 2

Don't know if this has been mentioned elsewhere...if you didn't see it, I totally recommend catching it whilst it's still on iplayer. Made me laugh, made me cry. It's the story of Neil Baldwin, erstwhile kit man for Stoke City

Lou Macari, Gary Lineker and Uriah Rennie all make appearances, it's semi drama, semi documentary, and the real characters meet with the actors playing them. It's unique and if you don't have a little tear in your eye at bits, and feel uplifted by it, you ain't human.

Glad you enjoyed it Wanders, I think it's the best thing I've seen on telly for ages, years, and I really hope others get chance to watch, from all football teams but "I draw the line at Port Vale'

'Twas good. They obviously gilded the story a bit but what a cracking story. Clearly the guy was very much liked. Great attitude to life although I doubt many of us would get away with it in the way he did.

Finally got round to watching it and I'm really glad I did.

What a brilliant, heart-warming story.

I watched it on YouTube, 'twas indeed marvellous.

Watched it the other night then watched it again. 
Funny and poignant, thought the Tony Benn bit was brilliant and the manipulation of the vicar who signed his Bible was funny.

My mate told me about it, so I watched it.

Brilliant, brought a tear  to a miserable owd Bastards Eye.

Sky Plussed this ages ago and remember all the recommendations on here to watch it. Finally got round to watching it a couple of nights ago and what a treat it was. Totally uplifting true story that was also both very funny and at times very sad. Shed a few tears at times watching it and watched it again the night after with the wife who was also thoroughly charmed by it. Was on the news yesterday that it's up for 3 BAFTA's and I'm not surprised. Thanks to Manda for initiallty recommending this and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone who's not yet seen it. Think you can catch it on YouTube and the DVD is also now available.

I'm going to get this - will report back after seeing it.
