Has anyone on here ever used an umbrella company?

I've spent a lot of time self-employed and have always used my own Ltd company but I dissolved it last year so now it looks like I will need to (in the short term) employ the services of an umbrella.

Can anyone recommend a decent one who won't charge the earth and mess me about?

If you are happy with the money the client is offering and the cut the umbrella company are taking then I don't see where the problem is?

They will pay your tax etc on your behalf as well, no?
