Somewhat lost in the mix, but IVAN KLASNIC has left the club.

Will be remembered as a clinical finisher for me and not much else.

seemed a top character too.

Good luck to him.

Was too lightweight anyway.

I guarantee whoever he signs for, he scores 20+ goals next season.

Maybe in some Mickey Mouse league he will score 20+.

He was a crazy bastard, and the best finisher at BWFC since Andy Walker. Good luck Ivan.

Guarantee he won't.

Legend though and a great finisher. Good luck Ivan.

I'll remember him for his off-field antics as well as his clinical finishing. The 'cross-dressing' incident springs to mind. Good luck to him in his future endeavours.

I don't disagree he would score goals in a team that can afford a luxury player like that.

He was and still is a top class finisher. Wish him well for the future and hope he doesn't get kidney stones.

Apparently, his wife visited him from Germany(?) unannounced and found lipstick and women's clothing (including underwear) in his apartment. He swore that he had had no female visitors but didn't offer a plausible reason for the clothes being there. Some wit added 2+2 and got cross-dressing!

There was also his alleged rape of a 17 year old girl, but the charges were dropped.

Brilliant goal against Wolves t'other season.

It made a point of watching Match of the Day for that goal.

Aren't you thinking of Elmander rather than Klasnic (who has never scored against Wolves)

I quite like your humour Stan so look forward to reading your posts anytime.

Thanks for your message on Mad.

It would have been decent of them to respond though, I would have done so if the boot was on the other foot (although I would never have banned anyone without giving them a reason in the first place).

Anyway onwards and upwards!

I thought he would be off.... another player we didn't use correctly IMO.
Now we need 9 or 10 then goals from somebody else.

If you get the time or the inclination just take a peek at Torquay Mad. It was a place that football fans from up and down the country would congregate and have a giraffe. Torquay Mad was asked numerous times if there were any Torquay fans that minded if their board was used, there wasn't one Torquay fan that replied or used that board.
The board disappeared for a year or two and then reappeared when Footymad upgraded their site.

I challenge you to find anything on there that would deserve someone to be banned (plenty of red cards about and all fans of different clubs).

Even the top teams are better off without these "luxury" players Hipster refers to.

Van Nistlerooy was a lazy tusk and United can hardly look back on selling him with regret even though he was a 30-35 goals a season striker. They've been a miles better team for getting rid, and in the last few years they've been at their strongest in my opinion when Berbatov hasn't played.

I won't say good riddance, because I've nothing against Klasnic personally and he clearly has useful strengths, but this isn't bad news in my opinion, nor is it surprising.

Had good hopes of Klasnic when he first came but he never really hit the heights - clinical finisher when it was laid on a plate but for a pro player his reluctance to break into a run is a bit of a drawback - even when he only came on for the last 5 or 10 minutes. Never really worked playing him from the start.

We just didn't play to his strengths. But I still stand by my statement that if he'd started every game we'd have stayed up easily.
