30 years ago this week.

Anybody of a certain age who remembers how the wooden stands at Burnden used to bounce up and down when things got exciting will appreciate how this could easily have been us:

In an age when players seem to be wearing black armbands every other week for some tenuous reason, it was good to see the football community come together to remember those poor unfortunate souls who went to the match but never made it home.

There but for the grace and all that......

I'll never forget the images from the tele.

A real shocker and so sad.

I was there at Valley Parade a couple of weeks beforehand with Burnley,  which just brings it all a bit closer to home.
