Most Haunted did Smithills Hall once and I only watched it because of the Bolton connection.

Acorah was banging on about "Barton! I'm getting Barton coming through! Who's Barton....?" and the way it was presented was as though there was no way he could have linked that name to the Hall and he'd genuinely been contacted.

Now anybody who's been to Smithills Hall will probably know that there's a massive, fuck off family tree in the Great Hall, upon which the name "Barton" appears prominently and repeatedly.
