Appointed to relegation rival's Rotherham.

Former Sheffield United boss Neil Warnock has been appointed Rotherham manager until the end of the season.

Warnock, 67, once played for the Millers, and has been out of work since leaving his role as Queens Park Rangers' temporary manager in December.

He replaces Neil Redfearn, who became the shortest-serving boss in Rotherham history when he was sacked on Monday.

United are currently 22nd in the Championship, having lost eight of their past 12 league matches.

Who knows which way that will go. Makes me a bit nervous in all honesty but we'll see. You can only work with the tools you have and hopefully his prove to be shit.

Look what you blokes don't understand is that our crack management team has a checklist of requirements.  Each aspect of the candidate has to be carefully screened, Qualities and personality very carefully weighed up....will he fit in with the master plan and players....has he got a full knowledge of tactics and connections around the league........so just because somebody comes available does not mean he is good for us.

On the other hand if he's cheap.....sign him

If you were an unemployed NHS bedpan washer and had been out of work for several months, and then came across an advert for a bedpan washer at a skint NHS Trust hospital, would you apply?

Nat you've been spouting this nonsense for weeks. It's time you woke up and recognised the reality. If there were so many people out there who wanted the job then why is it still vacant a full three months after becoming available. Peter Reid or Jimmy Phillips will be in the dugout come August.

In fact I'll quite happily put 20 quid to the charity of your choice on it.

You and the other negative knobheads keep saying no one wants the job. Plenty of people have applied for the job, it's just the club don't think they're the right man.

If you think not a single manager (particularly those with no current job) wouldn't jump at the chance to manage a big club like Bolton you are a bigger dick than I thought you were.

He's had a hit and miss career. He'd probably do okay, steady the ship. But I suspect he still thinks he can manage higher up than League 1.

He said on TalkSport this morning that he wants to work for another year,and that's his lot. His wife hasn't been too well of late either,so I can't see him taking a job like us on,which is really a long term project.
