I'm sure we're all comfortable enough with our sexualities to have a discussion about Eurovision so here we go.

I can't wait for Eurovision tonight. Not the singing. I hate the singing part, no interest in it whatsoever. No, it's the voting that I love.

Half way into proceedings, Greece still on nil pois, until...

"Now we cross live to Nicosia..."

"...and our 12 points go to...G-G-G-Greece Very Happy "

And you know Romania could just send a chalkboard and a woman to scratch it and they'd still get 12 points off Moldova.

So is anybody else looking forward to these shenanigans tonight or is everybody just doing their best to avoid?

I'll be watching but it's not the same without Sir Terry's wry, usually slightly drunk comments. I actually like Eurovision though, it's not really a music competition as such but it is a laugh. There have been some truly great songs down the years but most of the time it's just a slightly madcap, campy bunch of total loonies having fun. There are worse ways to spend an evening. Smile

Pointless exercise with a bent voting system drives me crazy but Mrs wessy loves it.

Do you hold hands with your boyfriend while you watch it?

We might as well as just put Tyson Fury in there singing who let the dogs out.

We'll never win even though we give them billions a year:

I'm locked away in my Wanderers hidey-hole,watching 'Hetty Wainthropp Investigates'.

She exposes a medium tonight. Very exciting.

Does anyone actually ever sit through the whole show?

I usually make it back in time from the pub for the voting which is much more interesting. Very Happy

I'm sat at home alone drinking wine, eating chocolate and watching Eurovision. My life is turning into a Bridgit Jones movie.

Why are Australia in Eurovision? And when they win will the next 1 be in Australia?

Liked the new voting.  All the telephone phones were added together and we got 8 from 42 countries.

I heard years ago that we deliberately put crap entries in because it costs a fortune to host it if you win

We need to go big next year. Only one man can do the job.

You know what I'm talking about.

That was an episode of Father Ted you were thinking of, there, Father.

And the competition involved was "Eurosong", not Eurovision.

Completely different thing altogether.
