I used to be an avid watcher of soaps and Corrie especially but it became the same boring stories as Emmerdale.

I'm surprised it has lasted so long to be honest as the acting has become more of a comedy act from the last time I watched it.

EMMERDALE has become a seething mass of criminals.

Any financial problems and they just steal a BMW or MERC and get a wad of cash .

The problem is,like many other TV shows,they're chasing the younger market.
Corrie used to be very funny,but characters like Ena Sharples,Stan and Hilda Ogden,Mr Swindley et al. are a thing of the past.

Looking through some more old programmes and came across this one from Boxing Day 1953. Looks like punters got value for money. Even I'm too young to remember it.
