Do any of our posters on here use Twitter ?

If so, could you tell me if it is all it is cracked up to be ?

I tend to agree. It must be an ornithologists nightmare.

I just don't get it at all.

Seems to me just a medium for attention seekers or keyboard warriors.

I have set up an account if anyone wants to use it. I have only made one tweet but I have already got one follower who I have never heard of.

I just can't see myself getting into it. I will probably give it another go when I have less time.

Follow me @BenDoverbich Cool

I use my account to follow mostly Bolton rumours during transfer windows, but I haven't been on in a while. Some people feel inclined to tweet about everything which takes up way too much time in my humble opinion. I say very little, and occasionally.

I set up an account, had a few pornstars/ sex industry victims follow me in the first few hours. Realised I know some dull people and people I like in the media are pretty dull in real life, then returned to Bolton forums. Lucky you.

Answer my question on the old forum? Didn't realise you'd all moved here until I read the last thread. maybe you should redirect people from there to here by url?

Have an account for over 2 years but tweeted about 30 times. Very rarely go on to it. I am more of a facebooker.

You are quite right in what you say Copper, I do look at Bolton related twitter a lot for news of what's going on - and post it up on here - but I still stand by what I've said in my quote above as I still don't get why people twitter in the first place?

Take Mr Sordell for instance, what has he actually achieved from tweeting? A reputation for being addicted to it, making himself a target for the key board warriors, showing his lack of knowledge as to who John McGinlay was? etc.

I can only assume he tweets because he wants attention?

I see twitter as a place to get the breaking news before it becomes 'official' but I still can't understand why people would want to tell the world what they had for breakfast or something else equally as unremarkable!

Maybe its just me and how I view things?

Oh and these days I could do with all the help I can get!

Sordell craves the attention but knows that more often than not, what he writes only gets him in the shit.

Most addictions relate to things from which we take some form of pleasure, but where there is also an understanding of some sort of potential danger, which oddly makes it more attractive. So I can see how Twatter could take over somebody's life in a way that is destructive and difficult to control, even though I do think it's a load of shite that I wish would piss off.

I only use it to keep up to date with what is happening with anything bwfc, marc iles for example.

I've tried to get into it more recently but I find it pretty dull, how it's become so popular I will never know.

I am on it, dont tweet or anything but always have a good laugh at the rantings of a certain ex-poster of Burnden Aces - Big_Sharps.

Im on it but i think its only really good for news. I follow mainly football news then bands because when they touring this usually goes up on twitter. All this celebrity following shite is bollocks and its bollocks the way footballers use it nowadays.

It is good for transfer news as well as other footy news, but then again so is this site, someone on here usually finds and shares the latest BWFC News.

I like the fact that it forces users to get to the point instead of rambling on. You can quickly see if it's of any interest without all the padding. It is for attention seekers so is a decent marketing tool, but like all social media needs a fair bit of time and effort to get the most out of it. Don't use it socially though.

I heard mention somewhere that you are an international businesswoman in the field of PR and Marketing so would have thought you'd have been all over it. Plus you could use it for self-promotion if desired, although I would have thought it unnecessary for a woman of your reknown and stature.
