Chelsea sack Lampard

Crazy decision if you ask me. He did very well last season with no players coming in and go them into the Champions league.

I know the likes of Werner and Havertz haven't set the league on fire yet but it takes time to settle in to a new country and league, i bet they look much better next season so why fire Lampard now?

Do clubs give managers enough time or at the very top level do you have to expect much shorter manager stints if things go relatively poorly?

In Lampards case i think he deserved at least this season and next to prove himself but i do think he will make a good manager at another club.

Wonder if he fancies a rebulding job up North?

I’ve never liked Lampard so I don’t have any sympathy.

I think Chelsea will be much better off with Tuchel which can only be good for the Premier League. The more competition at the top the better for neutral fans. Teams like City or Liverpool running away with the league is just boring.

As for Lampard, he's done well to bring so many young players through and they'll be a force in a couple of years time, but I reckon he's been let down by some of the older players, notably Timo Werner who isn't taking his chances.

Lampard's sacking was no surprise really. Abramovic has pulled the trigger on managers too many times for it to be a shock. Frankly what surprises me is that anyone reputable would even want the job since it's as poisonous a chalice as Newcastle United. I'll be straight and say even mega money wouldn't tempt me to go to chelsea if I was already in a decent job with a decent side. At Chelsea the power is never with the manager, it's with the players and behind the scenes planks like Peter Kenyon who think they know about football but don't actually have a clue.

You see, I DO think I play fair, very fair in fact.

I try my best to be fair to everyone, whether I like them or not is incidental to how I treat people.

Wanderlust has posted stuff in which he claims to be knowledgeable about, which (importantly) people were taking his word for and believing, and which I knew to be absolute bullshit.

Now I know I can't change what people wish to believe but I can and did call out the 'fake' news and lies on here and gave people the opportunity of properly knowing what the real situations were and what was actually happening.

Of course I'm just another random voice on the internet so I don't expect to be believed per se but I did put the true facts out there for people to have a different perspective on things which many hadn't had before and the opportunity to go and check things out for themselves and make their own minds up to what they understood to be going on and not simply take someone else's - many like the ST and Iles having their own agendas for painting the picture how they did.

Wanderlust has responded to that by throwing abuse at me, presumably believing I didn't have any knowledge or background in what I was saying and that he did have some financial background experience.

The thing was though I clearly had a much deeper and wider knowledge than he had in this field and he is one of those who cannot accept he can ever be wrong about anything.

Since then he's gone out of his way to try and shoot me down about stuff such as him not posting on ww that he VOTED FOR BREXIT and his hilarious 'own goal' of saying he knows how governments work from his knowledge of working in a NON GOVERNMENT organisation.

Now things like this make me laugh, the craziness of people holding petty vendettas on the internet, with people they don't even know, over fuck all!

Any other forum would have potted Wanderlust for good years ago, particularly if he made it his mission to take on the sites founder, but I played fair to him (and others like Bread to name just one) because it is after all just piss and wind  being said on social media when all said and done.

My mistake as been to constantly underestimate how serious some folk actually do take social media!  Somehow and in someway social media has spilled over in to real life for them, they begin to 'believe' internet personas to be actual real people rather than the creations that they are, made by people who may well represent themselves as they are in real life but far more commonly represent themselves as someone they are not!  It's easy to lie and be fake when you aren't face to face with them, or know them from Adam.

Anyway I did in my post above offered to stay my side of the fence if Wanderlust kept to his.  If he can pack in the bullshit I won't have any need to correct his fake news.

Better for the site all around I would have thought.

For the sake of peace and to make the site a pleasant place to tap into occasionally, can we ALL simply swallow our pride and not respond? A bit of self awareness wouldn't go amiss.

2021 needs everybody to focus on kindness to others. Focus on the role-models that show the way. Nobody should be risking being thought of as a mini-Trump! The current climate breeds enough unhappiness as it is.
