Coming back to the poll, I think there's as much chance of Allardyce coming back as there is Redknapp. He has spent a lot of money wherever he's been.

Di Canio definitely, he just slams the players for the playing bad and gives them a kick up the back side, I also remember him talking the keeper off in the first half because he made a terribly mistake which led to a goal and look what all this did for him.

Then I'd say Harry Redknapp, just a top class manager and is only director at Bournemouth at the moment

Phil Brown could also do a good job, Hull got promoted under him for the first time ever.

But all in all we need someone who knows what a good defence looks like and a good striker looks like.

What's the point of even speculating about guys like Redknapp, Rodgers and Holloway? Apart from the likelihood of OC being backed until we're bottom of the league - which we won't be - we have no money to pay out for a new manager. The only people who would even consider managing a club like ours would be someone we get for a song and who is ambitious. Even if we got a free manager, we'd still have to pay compen on a lengthy contract so that would cost.

I wouldn't say no to Rosler. He knows the area well having played for City. Works on a much smaller budget at Brentford.

Would anyone be keen on the idea of hiring a new manager from within the current staff set up, maybe David Lee and Sammy Lee as assistant, or something along those lines.

Should be an interesting few days before the Bristol City game.

I know it can take longer, and probably will to find the right person - just as long as Gartside doesn't get involved if he is reluctant at firing people like he was with Megson and Coyle - but we now have 11 days to find a manager before our next game.

I have to say that this time yesterday I'd have taken anyone rather than have Coyle in charge.

Now Coyle has gone I really don't want McCarthy or Billy Davies or Curbs. I want someone sexy and exciting.
