On another note I notice that in various media Derby are being bigged up. One of the favourites for promotion, chat about Evatt becoming their manager etc etc
I'm just wondering if the reason Rooney walked is that the local buyer isn't prepared to invest anything like the amount that the folk who pulled out were so they may not get the money to buy a promotion challenging squad.
I'd fancy our chances against the team that were relegated if they don't spend in the transfer window.
