Since I had my (ahem) medical episode and advised not to drink alcohol etc, I have been into trying different kinds of alcohol free beers.

I have tried various ones like the Perlenbacher that Lidl sell, Guinness zero, Heineken zero, coroner, becks blue, Leffe and the Erdinger alcohol frei beer that's promoted as an isotonic.

Apart from these beers missing the obvious taste of alcohol, the Erdinger comes out top so far in my taste test and contains vitamins too.

Do you recommend any you have tried?

Do you enjoy it the same as beer with alcohol in?

I really enjoy the Guinness Zero. Not tried any of the others, but I might give them a go.

The Erdinger is the closest taste to the real thing so far especially when chilled. It’s a shame Asda near us don’t really stock it.

Had it for the first time in Wetherspoons in Manchester and it was only £2.49 as well.
