It has been reported in today's Sports news that Owen Coyle is in a shortlist of three for the managers job. Joe Jordan ( number 2 at QPR with Harry ) sounds like he is the favourite.

A backward step imo.

Being unemployed to be Scotland manager is definitely a backwards step.

As well as being crap, Coyle's associations with Scotland are limited. He played for the Republic of Ireland and neither played for nor managed a major Scottish club. It would be a really bizarre appointment!

A very cushty job, absolutely no pressure to perform apart from getting your team to "put in a shift"

He couldn't do that with us very often but you never know.

Strachan is the bookies favourite. Big Eck is second with Joe Jordan in third.

I can;t see him getting the job personally, if he does he is on a win win situation, if he does well the scottish public will love him but will have no pressure what so ever on him to qualify for the world cup.
