More twitter this time from Nixon -

Tweet to Nixon - Spotted Graham Alexander and Callum Davidson at Leyland tonight - mixing with the fans

Nixon - Alexander looking for a striker ... not sure he found one.

Tweet to Nixon - how did Eaves and Sampson play?

Nixon - Sampson better than average. Eaves ok but needs to toughen up.

I've had high hopes for Sampson for a while now. I hope they both make the step up!

Bonnar -

Just had all the pictures in of Stuart Holden from Leyland.Great to see him back in a bwfc shirt. Looks as fit as ever, not an ounce of fat

Man at the game - he just gone off 70 mins played well..looks tired tho now

he just passed us said he was ok but had big ice pack round his knee, hope its just a precaution!!!

Bonnar - Yes, let's definitely hope. How does Vela look?

Man at game - he just gone off lasted 80 mins..played solidly, did alot.of ground work.didnt look like he wanted to come off

"Man at game" has a great future in journalism. He should take over from the Bolton News Sports Editor.

Fairly sure "man at game's" pseudonym is already taken. Doesn't he write a column for the FT?

Better than my professional pseudonym - "Man in Horwich Bed-sit".

Dunno mate - it's kind of catchy, although Natasha Whittam has more of a journalistic vibe as pseudonyms go.

Prefer it to Keegan though and think you should adopt "Man in Horwich Bedsit" as it conveys that all-important human touch.

Let us hope that Stewie (or should that be Holdeny Hmm ...... dunno) can step up to the plate and be counted. I've always seen the 'Lad' as sitting in the hole myself but I'm sure he's got a lot to offer in the final third. He can put a shift in when it matters and can look himself in the mirror when the chips are down.

Whatever happens in the next 7 months, we all know that this is a man who can wipe his own arse, which is something that has been sadly lacking over the last 19yrs.

Anyway in Dougalsy we trust and can sleep easy in the knowledge that he will do nothing without the full consent of posters on Bolton Nuts (which can be a bit annoying for Mrs. Freemany when she has to choose between buying Shredded Wheat or Weetabix).
