Just having a Crabbie's alcoholic ginger beer.

It's very refreshing but not enough ginger in it for me like the Old Jamaica pop.

Ginger beer needs to hurt your throat. In the old day's when Corona came round on Saturday night, dad used to get two big brown jugs full.
Our throats tickled for a good half hour after supping a glass.
Then Alpine came along and undercut Corona.

I do enjoy IPA and other real ales. Far better than the usual lager shite from Carlesberg, Fosters and Carling.

I used to drink the Greene King IPA until they stopped serving that in the pub I frequent and then went on to Doombar.

Lidl had some bottled real ales in not so long back and I tried the J. W. Lees Manchester Pale Ale and that was a lovely beer that's worth trying.

I was going to say that if it didn't give me heart burn after drinking it then it wasn't good enough.

Brought a couple of bottles of Metaxa 7 star back from my cheeky week in Kos. It's by no means my favourite nightcap and yet somehow I always get into it when I go to Greece so it's more of a tradition than anything else. My liver seems to have a soft spot for it.

Popped in Lidl last week and saw a palette full of 18 packs of Corona. The bottles lager that is and not the virus so bought a box.

What a big mistake that was! InBev have now started brewing this stuff under license in the UK and it makes Carlsberg taste far superior.

It tastes like piss so one to avoid!

I’m currently on them Lidl Argus Brasserie 250ml stubby French lagers. They only cost £3.59 for 10 and are quite refreshing.

Once those have gone I’m hitting the French brandy.

Went off the beer a bit during lockdown. Had a stash of scotch, and a few bottles of Taylors port, and that kept me going nicely.
Thought I might start overdoing it stuck inside for so long, but I remained strangely sensible. For me.

Had two pints of it a few years back when coast to coast was at Middlebrook after watching the Wanderers. Came to £9.90 nearly shit a brick

Yeah it’s was about £5.50 for a pint in the pub when I first tried it, got a pack of 4 small cans for about the same price from Asda also having some Elvis Juice

Is the Elvis Juice Made by Brewdog?

I’ve had their Lost Lager which wasn’t bad but they only seem to sell the beers in kid size cans.

This last couple of years I've definitely switched my allegiance to pally alley. Local has Ghost Ship - my regular pint these days - but I do keep cans of assorted Pale Ales - including Brewdogs range in my beer fridge. I think it stems from visiting Vietnam. The rest of South East Asia only seems to sell crappy lager, but Vietnam has fantastic IPAs all over the country - a legacy of American soldiers that stayed behind after the war. Enjoyed a couple of cracking nights out in Hanoi visiting bars that had a wide choice of micro brewery pale ales - brilliant.
Occasionally have a Leffe blonde if I fancy that malty fizz, but nowadays it's IPA all the way for me.
