It's a forum and it's good (imo) that people can speak out and question things - it is not being done in a nasty way or anything.
I think it will be a bad day if people don't speak out for fear of upsetting the status quo (as in 'the current view' rather than the band!).
I know of other forums where people feel intimidated to speak against the crowd - we certainly don't want that ever to be the case on here.
Hipster’s view is valid and he need not apologise for making it to anyone.

so it's a long standing forum curiosity when someone has a picture and says its them.
obviously i don't think everyone is their avatar, I'm not retarded and i couldn't care less what people have, but it does perk my interest when someone pretends to be the oposite sex on a forum, with a full backstory and randomly acquired picture from a motorbike forum.
Was it an adult dating site? I'm guessing you met this Ukranian pornstar and she turned out to be a (male) Ukranian shot putter.

When I first joined BA, in my naivety I posted a pic of myself. Wast too long in taking it down. I have been told by 2 seperate guys that without my glasses on I look like Davina McCall. Im not a big fan of hers but to be honest these guys had beer goggles that would have given Magoo's a fun for their money!

When I was younger I was told I looked like Sandy from Crossroads but as I have got older people seem to think I look like William Shakespeare. when I ask why, I am told it's because he has been dead for a long time.
