We know we're playing QPR (Ha!) and Reading next season, but who will join them and us in the Championship?

Wigan and Villa both won today, Newcastle held by Wet Spam.

Current PL table (bottom):

11 - Stoke - 40
12 - Fulham - 40
13 - Villa - 40
14 - So'ton - 39
15 - Norwich - 38
16 - Newcastle - 38
17 - Sunderland - 37
------------------
18 - Wigan - 35

Yes I think Wigan will stay up, I think they are a good side and they always come good at the end of the season. They still have Swansea and Villa at home, I wouldn't be surprised to see them win both.
I think Sunderland will be ok, they have two home games coming up against Stoke and Southampton, I think they will win both of them.
Newcastle only have two games left, away at QPR and home to Arsenal. Hmmm, tough.
Norwich have WBA at home and Man City away. They are going to need to beat WBA in my opinion. On Betfair Norwich were 33/1 to go down at one point, now they are about 4/1.
If I was given a free bet on who will go down I would go for Norwich.

Wigan are at the great escape again!

Can see Newcastle dropping, the situation they are in hasn't sunk in for them.

Norwich or Newcastle for me. Wigan will get out again. If they do, I'd like Norwich to go as I don't think they're anything special and Newcastle would probably win the league if they come down.

I hope Sunderland or Newcastle drop, I know some on here don't like Wigan but I think Martinez has done a good job.

Fair play, he has and has passed quite a few opportunities to leave them for bigger/better things (If you can call Villa that!) Will DW return the loyalty if they go down? He should as he would make Wigan a promotion threat next season.

Whelan won't sack Martinez if they get relegated. Think he's already said this.

Martinez will be off in the next 12 months though imo.

Wigan coming down, I hope they do stay up but can't see them getting more than 3 points.

It would be good to have our main local rivals back in the same division next season, always a great away day (even better when we win like our last two visits to the DW) and we'd most likely both be in the promotion hunt.

Wigan v Bolton, last day of the season, winner promoted. What a game that would be!

I can see Latics staying up though, they always find a way!

I think Wigan have left themselves with too much to do. See how Sunderland get on tonight, but if they win, Wigan are in the poo.
They have 4 games in 12 days, one of which is a potentially draining Cup final against City at Wembley. Beating Swansea tomorrow is a must for them - not easy. Can't see them getting anything away at Arsenal who are vying for a CL spot and the last day against Villa will be a battle.
Too many vital games coming thick and fast and with a couple of key injuries e.g. Figueroa out for the season it would be bordering on a miracle if Wigan make up the gap and survive. This time, I don't think they will.

I'm going to spend around four hundred quid all together if Wigan get relegated , on party food, beer and stuff.

I hope i'm four hundred quid lighter in a few week.

If they beat Swans on Tuesday Wigan will stay up I think, if I were Norwich or Toon right now I would be listening in to that. Can see QPR doing Newcastle next week.

If Sunderland lose tonight I fear the worst for them or Newcastle.

Wigan have a better goal diff than Newcastle and if they can beat Swansea which wouldn't surprise me then I think it's between Sunderland and Newcastle for the drop.

Wigan have home games against Swansea (already on the beach ala WBA) and Villa (could already be safe by the last day). That's 6 points on a plate if Wigan want them, and they will. That's 41 points, may not be enough, but Sunderland and Norwich are average at best and Newcastle have no confidence. I'm currently thinking a north east club is going to drop, but Norwich could be that club that looks safe until a few weeks from the end when they drop like a stone into danger.

I can see Stoke beating Sunderland tonight, they seemed to have turned a corner in the past 3 games.
