Do you think life on Earth will still be here in the year 10,000?

I was just thinking about what life would be like in the year 10,000, it is a surreal thought.
I wonder what technology will be like in 8000 years time? 
I wonder what the life expectancy will be in 8000 years time?
I wonder what the population of the UK will be like in 8000 years time and which race will be most common?
I wonder what the world record for 100m will be in 8000 years time?

I personally don't like the idea of how life will be in the future, we are making such a mess of the world.
It would be interesting to know what life would be like though in 8000 years time don't you think?

I couldn't give a toss to be honest. I certainly wont be around.

Good question, i'd love to have a time machine and have a look at what life was like back when the Dinosaurs were around and also many years into the future like you are suggesting.

When I was about 6-7 I got told by my elders we would have flying cars by the time I was in my 20s....that turned out well.

Evolution continues and as such life will probably still be around but what type of life, what will will evolve into, what will other animals evolve into.

Adaptation, new species and the death of old has always taken place from the moment of first life on this planet. Lets not forget that less than 10,000 years ago there were 3 types of Humans and now only 1. So what will happen, who knows - its teh future and its exciting not knowing!

I don't see why human life will no longer exist in the year 10000 but can you imagine the population numbers? If people live longer and it keeps increasing it could be crazy. They reckon the population of the world will double by 2100 to 15bn, if it doubles every 100 years it would be just horrendous. Can you imagine the traffic! 
Will all the ice have melted and sea levels rise massively?
Maybe they will find ways to space travel to other universes and humans will travel to other planets to live? Yeah maybe humans will end up travelling space as if it was the world. Maybe humans will be like ufo's to far flung planets.
