Schwarzer to Chelsea.

It's only a 12 month contract. I suspect he is just there as a reliable back-up for Cech. Expect his appearances to be limited to playing in the League Cup

It is a perfect signing. We (Chelsea) have the best young keeper out there in Courtois who has gone back to Atletico on loan for another season as first choice keeper. Cech is bound to be number 1 so we just needed a keeper who is decent and happy to be used as back up. Schwarzer fits the bill perfectly.

Isn't he the keeper that left fulham because they wouldn't let him use his zimmer frame on the pitch next season?

Cech as number one and Schwarzer are back up....not a bad pair of goalkeepers to have on the books.

Surprised he has gone to Chelsea though, you would think a guy at his age would want to play as much as he can.

Cracking signing as a back up. But i reckon he'd have been perfect fit for arsenal, even if it's just a year or two

I agree I think he's one of the best keepers the world has ever seen, its a master stroke from the happy one.
