Il be honest, from the football league show highlights, Wigan's squad looked very happy to out-pass the opposition, they passed the ball very well and didn't lose it much, granted they were playing barnsley but I think Owen has inherited a squad of players that are more suited to his naive "attack like fuck, forget defending, if they score 15 we will score 16" style of football.

What I find interesting (and encouraging from an anti-Wigan point of view) is Wigan were renowned for their imagination in the transfer market. They've been masters at paying peanuts for obscure players with top residual values for years. There's no man better to put a stop to that than Owen Coyle. Their targets and signings have been every bit as obvious and predictable as when he was at Bolton.
