A 2 - 0 win! Wow!

Two goals scored, none conceded. I can't quite take this one in yet. Can someone please confirm that I am not still aslepp? Has this game actually taken place and resulted in a win WITH a clean sheet to boot?  

Or am I about to wake up and find out it was all just a dream?  

Of course it would have to happen away, at a game I couldn't get to and couldn't see. That said who cares? A win, on the face of it a good win with goals from N'gog AND Beckford.  

Now please, please can we enjoy this one for tonight and worry about whether or not we keep it going tomorrow?

No matter what team it was, I feel it has lifted our spirits a bit and at the end of the day 3 points are 3 points!

karly and breaders I am in a SUPERB mood. But i won't put any more emoticons on my posts right now. My lovely wife is holding something dear to my heart in one hand and a pair of EXTREMELY large and sharp sewing shears in the other which she has threatened to use if I post one more emoticon on here tonight. 

Yes, that's right she's holding Mr Snuggles, my favourite teddy bear hostage. So no emoticons, just sort of imagine the ones I would use to describe my reaction to this evil, sorry dear, my lovely wife's perfectly reasonable request.

That said, God what a great result. After last week I felt truly depressed because there seemed to be no fire or fight in the team and I truly had no idea how we could turn it around. Tonight I still have major doubts about Dougie and one swallow does not make a summer but it IS six unbeaten games on the bounce, ten points from eighteen isn't promotion winning form but it's a very long way from the relegation fodder I thought we were starting to look like. 

I think the best part of today, the most pleasing is the clean sheet. That is a very encouraging stat albeit we weren't up against Barca or Bayern but Bornemouth. I realise that the opposition wasn't world beating but let's face it the way we've conceded lately I wouldn't be surprised if the Teletubbies could get at least one. 

Anyway, I'm genuinely delighted tonight, I haven't lost sight of the bigger picture or the worries that many of my fellow trotters rightly have about the club and it's direction but I'll worry again myself tomorrow.
