This debate has come up here and there, but it's never been settled once and for all which is why I've started this thread.

I've recently realised that for some things, Aldi is just brilliant. I'd even say it's better than Asda, Morrisons, Tesco etc for a lot of things in terms of quality. They do some really good wine.

What do you make of Aldi?

I've never been to Aldi but I'm guessing the quality is akin to Asda Smartprice on a bad day.

I've never been to Aldi either, I know a couple of folk who do go and say it's fantastic.

Is it really that good or is it just a load of bollocks?

Never been in. Get everything delivered by Ocado. But I'm told some of the bottled beers are OK.

Aldi is fantastic

We go there for all our essentials like breads and milks

Halved our shopping bill aswell which was always a bonus

Only thing I don't buy from there things like ketchup and beans which have to be the good stuff

Aldi is ok but we've got a Lidl near us, so I go there but not for a big shop.

The Toro Loco Zinfandel is nice as well. We do our main shop in Asda but we get quite a bit of stuff from Aldi and Lidl and it is much cheaper than Sainsbury's, Tesco and Waitrose.

The Kooliburra wine is fantastic at £3.99 a bottle.

Going to Aldi in Ramsbottom on Saturday mornings is one of the highlights of the week for me. You meet lots of toffs in there wearing shades and scarves covering their faces to hide their embarrassment. Their cheese is cheap and good value- and their sliced ham is better than anyone else's.
