If you could take the complete works of five musical legends to a desert island who would it be.

Hello HP- not wishing to boast but my nephew David Spurr plays bass with The Fall.
If you want some signed stuff-let me know

Thanks for the offer Rammy I'll bear it in mind.I hope your nephew gets on ok with Mark, as far as job security goes, the position of Bass Guitarist in The Fall is not the safest job in the world. I'd love to hear any good anecdotes your nephew might have about Mark.

Excellent stuff that Breaders, the man was a genius and will be sorely missed by many.

I'm 43 and have been trying to play the guitar since I was 12, when me Dad first bought me one.

I've been practising hard for 30 years and can just about get by now.

However, if I even came half way close to playing like John Martyn or Nick Drake, I'd be a happy man.

In my opinion, there's nothing better than one man, a guitar and a vision.

(How trite does that sound?)

Fuck it, you know what I mean.

You can't beat this:

I'd have to agree Breaders, Northern Sky is a gorgeous track and Nick Drake is criminally underrrated.

in that order. Not all legends I know and one is a classical composer but I like some variety.

Not sure about the understated coolness. My mate and I had to pull him out of an off stage fight with local punter. Richard Thompson was left on the stage on his own and did two solos in the time it took to get John to calm down and get back. Bit of a temper that belied his music.

My next five would be:-
Zappa
Rush
Pearl Jam
Joe Bonamassa
and George Thorogood and The Destroyers I think?

And Nat is the cross dressing comment the voice of experience?
