I can't see us getting anything from our remaining away games, but Swansea, WBA & Stoke at home should bring at least 6 points. It won't be enough.

The Stoke match is away. Swansea,WBA and Spurs are our home games. Whichever way you look at it can see us needing something at Stoke on the last day or relying on either already relegated Wolves or a City side with nothing to play for doing us a favour against a QPR side that will have 3 of there former teammates in there team.

Blackburn are in deep, deep shit now. It's very much looking like we will only have to avoid finishing bottom of a mini-league involving ourselves, Wigan and QPR. Blackburn are now 1/4 on to go down with all the major bookmakers.

Others will no doubt disagree but I would rather have our current points tally, games remaining and remaining fixtures than either of those that Wigan and QPR have.

My prediction is whatever happens in the Wigan v Blackburn match will decide our fate. If it is a draw we will stay up, if Wigan win we will go down.

My mistake, but Spurs at home has brought results in the past. So 6 points is still possible from our home games.

Not to be so negative but even after Rovers losing today I still think we will finish 19th below them, if by some off chance we beat Villa on Tuesday week then I may rethink what I have said but as things stand for me we are with 2nd worst team in the league.

Just glad the results went the way they did, and hope our players don't find it a excuse to get pissed, while they're doing Heat Training.

Lets not forget that we beat Villa away 2-0 in the Carling Cup earlier in the season. They have had an awful season by their standards but the fact that they are probably safe could work in our favour.

I'll go with Largehat in that I would rather have our points tally with six games to go. I know we have been crap at times this season but on paper we have the best fixtures left out of the bottom five.

But from another angle, don't know if shown on Sky, one can see that Young was actually tripped and in todays pathetic world any sort of trip, in the box, seems to qualify for a penalty.
