Yes...and no really.

Yes he won, fair play to him for that.

But no two road races are the same as each other.

Wiggins won the won the world Time Trial race today and the course was 'hilly'.

This played to his strengths and against the german Tony Martin who prefers a 'flatter' course.

I don't think many would think Wiggins had a chance against Martin if the course had been less hilly - indeed Martin has already beaten Wiggins twice in previous world TT's, including last years.

At the end of the day you can only ride against those who turn up and the course that is chosen.
