Andy Lonergan was pleased to see Wanderers come from behind to secure a point against Blackpool, although he conceded he was disappointed to not claim the win.

Having hit the post in the first half, Lee Chung-Yong equalised for the Whites late on, cancelling out Jacob Murphy’s curling free-kick.

While Lonergan was frustrated to see Bolton side drop points at Bloomfield Road, he called on his team-mates to take the positives from the draw as Neil Lennon’s side remained unbeaten throughout November.

“It was a tough game,” said Lonergan. “I feel that on a better surface we’d have got the three points, but it’s the same for both teams. It’s very difficult.

“In spells we showed a lot of good things but credit to them, they fought like we knew they would and they got the goal through a bit of quality from the young lad Murphy at the free-kick.

“Local derbies are never easy. They’ve got a new manager and a lot of players who want to prove a point and are all going to fight.

“Credit to them, they made it hard for us. On another day it could be a different result and we’re disappointed to go away with just a point.”

The keeper continued: “But you can look it from two ways. Before the game we thought we should have won, but on reflection we’ve done alright to come back from 1-0 down.

“Yes we wanted three points and probably should have got them, but we have to take the positives.

“We’re confident going into every game at the moment. We weren’t at our best today, but apart from at Norwich, where we weren’t at our best at all, we’ve played well.

“Even at Charlton where we got beaten we played really well, so we’re confident and will be looking to build on that by trying to get the three points next weekend against Huddersfield.”

Didn't take long to start "taking the positives" did it.

Blackpool are rock bottom of the league and we failed to beat them. No bottle. No positives.

I think it's a positive that coming from behind to get a point would probably not have happened a couple of months ago.

i didn't follow the game at all but one so-so result shouldn't detract from the 4 wins out of 6 before that, a win on Saturday should see us rise a few places at least. We can't expect miracles this season, we just need to make sure we are clear of the relegation zone.

I was just going to say the same thing that we have taken 10 points out of a possible 15 under Lennon so far.

I think that's quite good considering how we have been all season under Dougie.
