Bolton Wanderers supporters have expressed anger after a flare was thrown into the corporate box by a Blackburn Rovers fan on Boxing Day's derby game.
Fans took to Twitter to voice their outrage about the incident, which happened in the second half of the game at the Macron Stadium.
Jim Murphy, the leader of the Scottish Labour Party, also posted a comment, saying that the game was "incident packed".
A spokesman for GMP confirmed that a "smoke bomb" had been thrown by a Blackburn fan.
