Over the last 37 we are third bottom

We've not won in the last 3.

Stats which has been said, can say what you want.... But the bottom line is the "Barclay's Premier League" base their table on 38 league games... So let's see..

Of course what you have written is correct, but I am slightly confused.

In December I pointed this out to you after 16 games, and you chose to include the whole of 2011 to make a point.

Surely, the season is 38 games split over two half years.

38 points, as I boldly predicted in January. COYWM.

My point is stats mean nothing...

List the results from 2011 to now CEF..

That's gonna make Coyle look far far worse...
I could have just used Aug-Dec 2011 results - still the same...

Absolutely - stats mean nothing - just sometimes a guide!!

My point was that when I made the 38 games comment, you didn't seem to agree. It was as if 16 games was the basis to form a judgement.

NOT STATS THEN -

FORM, CURRENT FORM

Our form, currently is as good as we can expect. If Coyle was to be sacked it should have been in January. He was given a chance to improve - and results wise we have improved. We have got as many points since the bad run as any other manager would have got us in all likelihood (and in my opinion we have improved on the pitch too).

Yes there are still mistakes, and things which frustrate us, subs we don't understand etc - but all managers are guilty of that and all teams chuck away points like we did the other day. Just like United did against Everton etc - it happens.

In my previous comment CEF I said the premier league decide a season is 38 games... Re read it...

That's different from opinion & stats..

Concentrate on the league table now. In December I said we need to lose Coyle. I give my own stats like the author has...

Please CEF, read the comments I make before jumping in..

Things ould have been done..

1) change the manager (Sunderland), survive.
2) change the formation/tactics (Wigan), survive.

3) sack the manager, don't replace (Wolves) down.
4) keep the manager, change nothing (Blackburn), down.

Apologies Mallorca - I didn't mean to 'jump in'.

I get what you are saying. So going back to original post, Coyle is getting better if you measure from December. He is getting worse if you measure from August.

Hardly rocket science. If we win on Sunday and QPR lose, then Coyle has earned a reprieve (by the skin of his teeth).

And if you judge his last 3 games, it's 2 points from 9.... Relegation form... Shocked

Somebody has to go down if we all sacked the boss and all changed tactics 3 teams would still go down.
