Religions will always remind you about their charity ASAP, make sure you forget the child abuse, abuse of womens rights, murder, death, destruction, begging for apocalypse, homophobia and misogyny.

Is this charity pushing homophobia and misogyny etc then? Or are you talking about religion as a whole Hipster?
Personally I'm against all religion, but there's still a lot of good done in the name of religion which deserves recognition. Pretty shitty to detract from perfectly good causes purely because there's a religious attachment.

I don't give to any charities that associate themselves with religion, if you're going to claim then good, then you must accept the bad I'm afraid.
maybe forbidding condoms in Africa was a bad idea, but it's ok they built the schools for the kids with Aids to go too.

None of that has occurred at my church. An old woman did fall over on the ice in December though.

We all know what I will be doing with this!
What is Al Khair? Website I found was for a charity... assuming there's more to it for this reaction?
But keep it up.

I'm against religion but IMO it's too black and white to disregard any good done in the name of religion because of the overall negative influence. That just doesn't add up for me, Hitchens loved to bring up the condoms in Africa and rightly so, but there are still good things done (for the wrong motivations) by religious groups.
I don't see the need to generalise and discount all of that.

Typically inane response, how old are you again? It's like talking to a brick wall.

But they do good for selfish reasons they are doing it for divine reward. And as you know most of the good done historically by religions was to force people into a religion.
"I'm building you this house in the name of Jesus accept him into your heart and you'll be free"
Sorry I don't think that's good personally but I respect those who do.

What a load of crap. Ever been to a wedding, christening or funeral?
What you mean is, you'll blame religion for all the problems in the world but will use religion when it suits you.

I've never been to a christening. Went to one wedding when I was about 5.
Thankfully I wasn't christened myself.

Exactly. How many people refuse to go to a wedding because they don't believe in religion?
How many atheists get married in a church? Quite a lot.

Not many other places to get married, the church bleeds people dry.

You don't have to be religious to be a guest at a wedding, the church welcomes everyone.
