Jermaine Beckford scored his first goal at Deepdale for Preston North End as the Lilywhites drew 2-2 at home to Leyton Orient in Friday night’s televised game on Sky.
Having seen David Mooney open the scoring for the O’s, Beckford headed home the equaliser from Paul Gallagher’s free-kick midway through the first half.
Provider turned goalscorer in the second half as Gallagher fired Preston ahead from the penalty spot, however, Chris Dagnall levelled the scores once more as the tie ended in stalemate.
Meanwhile in the Championship, Alex Baptiste came on as an 85th minute substitute, replacing Martin Olsson, as Blackburn Rovers drew 1-1 away at Wigan Athletic.
