Come and join us in the wonderful world of Interim Contract Management, Johnny!

It really is the land of milk and honey.

(But you have to hang your milk outside your hotel window, as there's invariably no fridge and the only honey you get is on the Honey Nut Cornflakes you wind up living on....)

And buy an iron because Corby are liars and your keks will look scruffy if you rely on their product to try and keep them crease free.

Come on.....you know you want to!

I wouldn't have the first clue of where to start bredders. Probably going to end up back in sales again. Would rather not really after 11 years ofsales previous to this job. Needs must though eh!

I wouldn't go back into sales Johnny!

You will only end up lying to people to get the business! Very Happy

Sales can be a very lucrative business though.

Im not a salesy type person if that makes sense. I hated all the cliches and bullshitting. (I once walked out of an interview when the woman said "we dont sell the sausage we sell the sizzle")

Id like to keep doing what i do now but without the bullshit.

Hey ho.

Hey ho.

Build on what you do now.

Get an IOSH qualification, learn about manufacturing techniques, gen up on current legislation and start applying for SHEQ jobs.

Do that for a couple of years, gain some experience then look at going interim.

You start off by registering with a few specialist recruitment companies who find you the work but once you get the ball rolling, provided you can back up the interview talk with action, you get known and you develop a network.

I get a lot of my work through Linkedin.

And the beauty is, you get to earn double as an interim what you would as a permanent member of staff.

Think about it - you're still young enough to do it.

Good advice, listen to him and you too could be staying in a travel lodge one day Very Happy

p.s. Did you sort it out Johnny and get to the bottom of it?

Come on Scott, it's a bit rich for you to criticise anyone's career all things considered.
