This is just a flawed plan to sell cheap tickets without pissing off season ticket holders.
The flaws being:
1) Not everybody that's willing to pay a fiver to go the match knows a season ticket holder.
2) Not every season ticket holder knows somebody that wants to go the game.
3) The ticket web page is technical and temperamental at the best of times; offers like this are often more hassle than they're worth.
The result, an insignificantly larger than average crowd.
As a season ticket holder myself, I'd honestly rather see these £5 tickets go on open sale if it means seeing a packed out Reebok/Macron for a change. It's not like the club makes a habit of giving tickets away for peanuts as some clubs do.

the trouble with these cheaper tickets is that it seems to punish us people who have a season ticket and have to pay near enough full price (i know the season ticket makes is a bit cheaper than buying individual tickets for games).
It's a catch 22 i suppose, i would like to see bigger crowds but having them all pay less than me is annoying.
