I bet its a bit strange for Malky Mackay, what a difference it must be going up with Cardiff, to getting relegated with Wigan.

I remember all the Wigan fans celebrating when we went down on the final day of the season at Stoke, karma springs to mind.

It was a pile of shite last week before a scrum had taken place! Whelan will have to relay it again before next season.

Wigan play Cardiff this week! What a game that should be. Wonder if Vinny Tan will turn up and be treated to Dave Whelan's famous northern hospitality.

You won't see Mackay for dust if and when they get relegated IMO - glad Garty didn't approach him when Dougie got the boot.

Tan and the Cardiff board are boycotting tonights game on principle. That should save Whelan a fortune in hospitality Sushi and pies.

I hope Cardiff really smash them.

I can't help but feel there's some poetic justice in Wigan's name being dragged through the mud, baring in mind how some of their fans have behaved over the years at the Reebok with chants of "you're just a town full of p@kis" and "England, England, England".

Even if it was end of an era and Wigan disappeared back into football's third tier again it wouldn't all be doom and gloom.

They could always put on a Farewell All Nighter down at the Casino - oh no, wait a minute, that's been torn down now as well hasn't it?
