Neil Lennon has praised Liam Feeney following his recent contributions in a number of positions for Bolton Wanderers.
Feeney has featured in all but two of Lennon’s games in charge of Bolton so far, often playing out of position.
And speaking ahead of Tuesday’s trip to Middlesbrough the manager singled out Feeney for special praise.
“Liam has been outstanding for us in recent months,” Lennon said. “Whatever we have asked him to do recently he has gone about it very well and without a word of fuss.
“His attitude has been brilliant. He takes on board what we want him to do, goes out there and puts it in to action.
“There’s no doubting that Liam is a very important player for us at this moment in time. He’s playing very well for us at this moment.”
