All I can say about these two is I've heard of them but that's about it. Just a case of getting some bodies in I suppose. I'm surprised anyone wants to sign for us tbh. If I was a player I would look at the last few years injury list and shit myself.

Bolton Wanderers have signed midfielder Giles Coke on loan for the rest of the season from Sheffield Wednesday.

The 28-year-old has scored once in 16 games for the Owls this season.

His arrival comes after Bolton confirmed midfielder Zach Clough and full-back Kevin McNaughton will miss the rest of the Championship campaign.

Clough, 19, will undergo treatment for a dislocated shoulder, while on-loan Cardiff defender McNaughton, 32, has fractured the fibula in his right leg.

In addition, centre-back David Wheater, 28, will miss up to eight weeks with a hamstring strain.

All three players were injured in the first-half of Tuesday's 1-1 draw with Reading, after which Bolton boss Neil Lennon described the referee's performance as "appalling".

Clough, who netted on his senior debut for Bolton in January, has scored six goals in 10 appearances for Wanderers.

Paddy McCarthy is a decent player, Bit slow on the turn, but he reads the game well and organises a defence  .

I know nothing about either man. I looked them up on Wiki but after my appalling rush to judgement on Juke I'm never going to form an opinion based on bare stats about a player again. I hope they both come in and do well and that if they succeed they'll be given a chance to stay. If not then I'll wish them well and hope they succeed elsewhere in the future.

Recent loan acquisitions Giles Coke and Paddy McCarthy have both been handed squad numbers following confirmation of their respective deals until the end of the season.

Midfielder Coke, on loan from Sheffield Wednesday, will wear shirt number 51, meanwhile Crystal Palace loanee McCarthy has been handed squad number 54.

The two players are eligible to make their Bolton Wanderers debuts in Wednesday night’s Sky Bet Championship fixture against Blackburn at Ewood Park.
