They're on at Latitude which, being an ageing, middle class bloke with a camper van and a yearning to be 20 again I'm going to next week. Haven't seen this lot for years so is their recent material any good or are they still recycling their old pop music?Norpig wrote:going to see the best band in the world tomorrow and i can't wait

new album is great Lusty, a real return to form and is probably their best album since Technique.
They were amazing at Glastonbury last week so i'm really looking forward to seeing them, just hoping it doesn't piss down all day

Enjoy it mate it should be awesome if the weather stays ok, Castlefield is a good venue for music.Norpig wrote:new album is great Lusty, a real return to form and is probably their best album since Technique.

Incredible what a renaissance the Manchester music scene is going through, my 16 and 17 year old sons went with all their friends to watch the Roses and were buzzing. They have been to see the Courteeners a few times and the Charlatans.
It's nice that the younger generation want to see people making music on instruments and not on laptops.
We just need an Oasis reunion tour now.

Looking forward to the final of Guitar Star too which is on in one of the smaller venues although not sure this year's lot are as good as last year's going off the early rounds on telly.

By all accounts they are speaking now and Liam has just been through an expensive divorce, I hope they do because a band which was one of the best Britain has produced across 2 or 3 generations deserved a better ending than fizzling out half way through the V Festival because of a fall out.
Even if it's just a farewell tour to say goodbye to what was probably one of the largest most loyal fan-bases in musical history.

Anyone listened to The Last Shadow Puppets album? I have given it a few listens but can't decide if I like it... something about it appeals but then... meh.

Bridgewater Hall should be a great venue for Beth Hart in November.
