I'd be embarrassed to admit that. It's a good job we're not relying on you to educate the next generation.

I just don't like to read novels. Rather watch a film.
Yes, you've said that before, and I accept it's sacrilege to mention it in the same breath as Middlemarch! Different level altogether, but whilst I know several people who hated it as fiercely as you, I also know just as many who thought the plot was utterly gripping . For what it's worth, it featured for a long time in the book charts (after Judy Finnegan recommended it! .......no comment necessary, Bread!!) I was trying to provide different types of novels so that everyone could find at least one they liked.Breadman wrote:okocha wrote:

The film must be a proper stinker then because that book is one of the biggest piles of unadulterated horse shit that it has ever been my misfortune to have read.
Utter tripe.
On several levels.....
Name some books that would give me great knowledge.Natasha Whittam wrote:Bwfc1958 wrote:

Knowledge is power. You don't gain knowledge from playing childish computer games.
That's why you're a bum and I'm 'Preston Businesswoman of the Year'. Twice.
