Tinned Toms - You know it makes sense!

The problem with playing good teams though is we'd probably get hammered and end up going into the new season low on confidence.

I completely agree, just giving a flavour of the type of reaction these fixtures normally get.

He broke his leg playing against Newport-not exactly a high flying outfit.

what was it... 3 years ago we would pre-season in America and other countries.....oh well.

It called marketing.....selling the name BWFC .....

As for football ..... playing the likes of Morecambe will not get us ready for QPR away in the first game for example.  You test yourself against better teams IMO

Yeah we'd be better playing quality teams like Real Salt Lake and Columbus Crew.

Cheers.

Could be a stern test, that one.

Not sure I fancy our chances.

Fuck me, I just jizzed with excitement at the prospect of watching us play those fixtures...

Chorley is always a good day but that's a' Bolton X1' as opposed to our 'first team' playing all the 'big' fixtures.

Why do we hardly have any at home?

Oh and this TBC game at the Reebok, will be billed up to be the game of the century, against some 'massive' European side, and it will turn out to be the reserves from some Icelandic 3rd div team...

Oh... and Kevin Davies testimonial... never in a million fucking years is that gonna happen.  :flog:

I guess the away friendlies thing is intended to start addressing our away form issues.

Not that our home form was that brilliant towards the end.
