WINGER Liam Feeney believes success will come for Wanderers under Neil Lennon if the players adopt his winning mentality.
Lennon is preparing for his first full season in charge and faces a busy summer of transfer dealings to bolster his squad after releasing five senior players at the end of last season.
Feeney, who still has a year to run on his Whites contract, believes whoever comes in will be in Lennon's mould.
"He’s a born winner," the 28-year-old told Shoot magazine.
"Every game and everything we do he expects us to win and he demands that we do well.
"He’s a great motivator and he’s had a lot of success at Celtic.
"You can see the will to win that he’s got, and most weeks it is rubbing off on us now."
Feeney reckons Lennon's approach, as well as his summer additions, can only have a positive impact on a squad that finished the last campaign in 18th place.
He added: "Even though we ended in the bottom half we performed quite well, even in some of the games we haven’t got anything from.
"Him motivating us is a big factor in that.
“We had such a bad start with the old manager but since the new manager’s come in we’ve done pretty well.
"We were on a great run straight away and then we stuttered a little bit because of injuries and other things.
"Overall, it’s been disappointing in some aspects, but very pleasing in others.”
After another topsy-turvy campaign that at one point threatened a relegation battle for Wanderers before Lennon arrived and steadied the ship, Feeney says they start the next campaign with a clean slate.
As one of those who played regularly under the Northern Irishman – he has played in all but three of Lennon's 38 matches in charge to date – Feeney is relishing the challenge in 2015-16.
The former Bournemouth and Millwall man said: "We’re all looking forward to it.
"It’s a clean slate and I imagine he’ll (Lennon) bring some players in and strengthen us a bit because we’ve had a lot of injuries this year.
"A manager always wants to come in and make his own mark and have his stamp on the team.
"He’ll have his team out there and we’ll have had a full pre-season.
"He’ll expect us to be right up there, and so will we as players.
"I really think that with a few additions we will be challenging right up there next year.”
