Given that he came here when no one else would look at him, showed what he could still and left again shows the measure of the man. He is unlikely to be broke. I would have liked him to have stayed but if we are only a stepping stone then step along, Eidur. We'll be fine. Yes, I get that it's only a job - until you romanticise it for your own purposes.

Very disappointed in this money-grabbing exercise, but there again, I've always felt that he had very little regard for the club since the first time he left the club.
If the Chinese season finishes in November, as stated on one report, it would be interesting to see how much extra he would be making, over and above his Bolton wages. I'm not impressed.
