McGinlay Is Dead

My beautiful Springer Spaniel, McGinlay, has been put to sleep. The hardest thing I've ever had to do. He's been with me for 16 years, the most loyal friend I've ever had.

But his back legs had gone, he couldn't even get up to savage chavs in United tops anymore.

I held his paw as the vet put him to sleep. I cried like a baby.

Dogs are better than people aren't they?

If this is true - I feel for you.

i know exactly how you feel.

Went through the same thing at xmas wit two of our dogs.

Not nice at all.

Thank you everyone. It is 100% true, McGinlay has been my faithful companion for many years.

The penthouse seems empty without him.

It's coming up for me soon. My cairn terrier,Sam, is 13 and he's showing signs of serious deterioration and so the end isn't far off.
I can stand family dying (family- the original F-word) but when a dog has to go- that leaves me numb for days.
