Conor Wilkinson helped Barnsley reach the second round of the Capital One Cup on Tuesday as they triumphed over Scunthorpe United on penalties.
The Republic of Ireland Under-21s international completed 64 minutes for the Tykes, and won the penalty which allowed Josh Scowen to open the scoring shortly after the break.
Paddy Madden levelled for Scunthorpe with a penalty of his own soon after, but with neither side able to find a winner on the night, Barnsley triumphed 7-6 on penalties.
