I've only seen clips on youtube, and it doesn't make me laugh - I think Karl Pilkington is just slimy and knows exactly what he's doing and I find him more irritating than anything, but I haven't spoken to anyone that doesn't love it!

So, is it just me?

Nope, not my sense of humour either.

I've watched them all, and enjoyed them, but I can't get my head round why anyone would buy the DVD and watch them more than once.

He does come out with the occasional funny line but it's far from hysterical.

It's just a vehicle for Ricky Gervais to sort his mate out with a few quid via secondary fame.

Nor my humour - tried watching it a couple of times and only lasted until first commercial break each time.

It's one of the few programmes that has brought me to tears of laughter. The very first one where he goes to China is the funniest hour of entertainment I've ever seen.

The key to the programme is he's just an average bloke who's never been to any of these places and is completely out of his comfort zone, I think that a lot of people can identify with that.

I don't like Gervais, but Idiot Abroad is brilliant. I hope there will be a 3rd series.

I love Idiot Abroad, some seem to think it's an act that Pilkington puts on but i'm not convinced, though his real name isn't Karl Pilkington so I suppose it could be true.

Apparantly Gervias has lined up a 3rd series with Karl and the Dwarf who was in that series on bbc, not a clue what his name is.

Ha ha brilliant news. I've just done a bit of research and it's going to be a trip from Italy to China. Can't wait.

Warwick Davies, the show was called Life's Too Short.

That was much funnier than An Idiot Abroad. Although it tailed off a bit for the last two shows. Warwick's accountant, Eric Biddle, was a creation of genius.

Big Gervais fan and a big fan of the Podcasts.

Idiot abroad for me was a few hilarious moments in between long stretches of monotony, just drawn out way too much.

I'd prefer 20 minute episodes.

On Gervais though his latest show "derek" was just on another planet of awful for me. Really really bad, not funny in the slightest, not touching, not shocking nothing. Hated it.

can't believe they've commissioned a series.

Never heard of idiot abroad.
Like Gervais in the office and in Extras.
And Standup.
Hated Derek. Worst program ever made. Series being made? Why? Nobody liked it!
