Bolton Wanderers are delighted to officially announce the signing of free agent Jose Manuel Casado.
The Spanish left-back has spent the last two weeks training with the club at Euxton and has now officially put pen to paper on a one-year contract.
Casado, 29, last played for Almeria in the Spanish top flight from January 2015, but later left the club following their relegation to the Segunda Division.
He has spent the entirety of his career in Spain to date, after progressing though the youth ranks at Sevilla and Barcelona before going on to represent Sevilla, Recreativo, Xerez, Rayo Vallecano and Malaga at senior level.
Casado has been handed shirt number 20 at Bolton Wanderers.
The club now require international clearance in order for Casado to be eligible to feature against Blackburn Rovers on Friday evening.
