Dear Boncey, please don't cry, its your lucky day! Brucie lived, maybe still does, on the Wentworth Estate with 2 championship golf courses. I had a heap of businessmen in from all round the world, work in the morning, playing a round (make your own jokes up) in the afternoon. Some of them were truly truly truly awful, and we were still out late in the day, practically dark, as they were trying to do a par 3 in less than 20. I was driving the golf cart, and I noticed a car along a drive with its hazards on. I went over doing a rather neat 180 stop even if I say so myself. It was the legend who is Sir Brucey, he had a new car and had failed to take into account its low slung body and the depth of the speed bumps on the Wentworth estate and was stuck gently wobbling on a hump. I said i'd drop him home half a mile away in my golf cart. By the time we got there, he asked me in for a drink, I met Wilnelia and we ended up sobbing with laughter cos of the first world problem of buying a sportscar and not being able to get to a multi million pound house on a championship golf course. You prob had to be there, but he was lovely, charming, and determined when he took his car back the next day he would get over himself and give some money to charity. Like I said, gently amusing and heartwarming. Hope it was worth waiting for.

This is one of the greatest days of my life, which tells you a lot about my life.
You actually had a drink with the great man and his Mrs.
It was gently amusing, and heartwarming, but now I've got nothing left to look forward to.
I may have to lie down for a bit to fully appreciate the significance of this moment,so I'll return to it at a later date.
I'm a bit unsteady.the room is spinning.............

are you sure? The golf day was an annual event, and it would have been rude if I hadn't got in touch again....boltonbonce wrote: This is one of the greatest days of my life, which tells you a lot about my life.

That's not the one you PM'd me, Mand.
The one you sent me about him doing his Sammy Davis Jr thing in your living room while you and Phil Silvers looked on in rapt awe is miles better.
Just sayin'.......

That wasn't an Alsatian, it was Private Dobermann.
He was there as well.
