GP's being offered financial incentives to NOT refer patients for treatment:

The NHS was set up to provide free (at the point of access) care to anybody who needs it and stuff like this is not only distasteful, but dangerous to boot.
"Ah, but the NHS doesn't pay for itself and we need to be smarter with our money!" scream the people who are coming up with ridiculous ideas like this one, "We've got to pay for it somehow!"
So here's an idea, instead of wasting over £100 billion on replacing Trident, why don't we spend that money on shoring up our ailing Health Service?
Give it ten years and you'll have to pay to see your GP and we'll all be taking out a second mortgage to fund life-saving treatment at this rate.
So a massive thankyou from me to everybody who voted Tory at the last election - well done.
