Enock Likoy-Elumba netted a brace as Bolton Wanderers Under-18s conceded a two-goal lead in their 3-2 defeat against Birmingham City on Saturday.

The forward opened the scoring for the young Whites early on, slotting home for ten yards after bursting forward into the Blues penalty area.

Likoy-Elumba netted his second of match shortly after half-time, again beating the Birmingham goalkeeper from a similar distance after finding himself in space.

However, the visitors took control of the game as the second half wore on, quickly turning the match on its head to eventually claim all three points.

Matt Timms pulled a goal back with from distance before Ronan Hale levelled the scores soon after.

Birmingham then completed their comeback late on Khaelleem Bailey provided the finishing touch following a good passing move.

After the game, Under-18s coach David Lee told bwfc.co.uk; "It was a close-fought game in the first half with both teams creating chances.

"But Birmingham were the better team in the second half. They forced pressure on us and deserved their goals.

"Nevertheless, it was a good experience for our players, facing a well-organised and physical team.

"We must learn to cope against different formations.

"Overall the players have had a good run of results and now we must start again for next week against Sheffield Wednesday."
