What is Brightons secret?

13 Games in. Won 8 Drawn 5 Lost 0. Winning yet again away at reading today but I don't remember them being anything special last season, they were close to going down IIRC.

Can't say I have followed their movements over the summer, all I know is they brought in Chris Houghton.

But we brought in Neil Lennon, why aren't we top?

I think that it's more to do with the quality of players,then playing them the best way you can.

Well unless Brighton spent a shite load in pre season then they have a similar squad to the one that was in a dogfight.

They were a decent side season before last and I was quite surprised they were as poor as they were last year.

What I wanna know is where all their fans have come from. As far as I'm aware there's nothing special about the catchment area yet they've been getting 25,000-30,000 a week since they got their new stadium.

I think they're all looking forwards to their night out, the mood must rock.

If you look at Hughtons record it isn't bad. He did a decent job at Birmingham during the Carson Yung fiasco and he was unlucky to get the sack at Newcastle.

The only other league side in the whole of Sussex is Crawley Town, who aren't really a draw for crowds. 

Brighton and Hove is a fairly big shop (bigger than Southampton for example) and there are plenty of decently sized towns not too far away.

And they have the weather for watching football.

Dead right - no competition for fans just like Norwich. Their growth potential is huge which is why they are far more likely to attract big investors than us.

I know a few season ticket holders at Brighton who live in London, lot of potential for growth there.
