Bolton Wanderers Under-18s seventh victory from their last nine outings as Enock-Likoy-Elumba's early strike secured victory away at Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.
Following a bright start from the young Whites, the forward was on hand to tap Bolton ahead after just ten minutes after Alex Samiazadeh had seen his initial strike saved by the Owls goalkeeper following a good run into the box.
In a dominant Trotters first half performance, Wanderers created a number of further chances and were unfortunate not to extend their lead - Ryan White just one of the Whites players to be denied by the Wednesday keeper.
Samizadeh was denied late on as his header from Likoy-Elumba's cross was saved on the line, but despite facing a number of Wednesday attacks in the second half, Bolton held on to seal all three points.
After the game, Under-18s coach David Lee told bwfc.co.uk; "We started the game brightly and were rewarded with an early goal in what was a dominant first half performance, as we created several chances.
"Sheffield Wednesday came back stronger in the second half and played a lot of long, high balls as they looked to physically out-battle us.
"However, we were strong and resolute and quashed all of their attacks, while we were also unlucky ourselves not to get a second goal.
"Overall it was a good solid performances with the players showing good character and positive attitudes."
TEAM
Bolton: Jaaskelainen, Spooner, Lonsdale, Honeyball, Brockbank, Allen, White (Pearson 80), Perry, Samazideh, Likoy-Elumba, McKenna.
